Porsche MotorsportPorsche Club's Motorsport operation has been in its current form since 2003, following a 'restructuring' at the end of 2002. Since that time we have built on the strong foundations of Porsche Club racing that have developed over the past 20-odd years. We have created an environment in which Club members can progress from driving their road Porsche on a track, just for fun, to trying their hand at competitive driving in sprints and hillclimbs, through to full-blown competitive circuit racing at the highest level.

Reflecting increasing demand amongst Club members, the number of Track Days run by the Club has gradually increased and we will be running 26 days in 2007. Alongside more Track Days, the Club will also be organising more motorsport overall.

Consistency of structure, coupled with considered and gradual refinement of the regulations, has helped provide for close, competitive racing in all three of the Club's Motorsport series. The Speed Championship will again run over 13 rounds at all of the popular venues, while the Porsche Club Championship and Porsche Open will run over more rounds in future seasons. There will be more races at higher profile meetings and in the case of Porsche Open, more of the longer races. It is a reflectionof the status of the Club's racing that it has been invited to a number of prestigious events and supporting the British round of the World Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch.

Whilst the Club's Motorsport is always closely fought and very competitive, it is always intended to be fun. With that in mind, we try to create a friendly and 'clubby' environment in which our racers can compete. A major part of this is provided in the form of the Porsche Motorsport Race Centre, which provides a focus for competitors in the race paddock.
